Data Deletion Request

How to have us delete what we hold about you. One email does it, and we act within 30 days.

Last updated

You can ask us to delete the information we hold about you or your business at any time. You do not need a reason, and there is no charge.

This page explains exactly how, what happens, and what we are obliged to keep.

The fastest route: stopping WhatsApp messages

If you only want us to stop messaging you, you do not need a formal request. Reply STOP to any WhatsApp message from us.

That takes effect immediately and permanently. No reply, no confirmation step, no exceptions.

The same works if you tell us on a call, or email us asking to be removed.

What we may hold about you

Depending on how you came into contact with us:

  • If you filled in our contact form — your name, email, phone number, business name and message, sitting in our email inbox.
  • If you gave details to our website chatbot — your name, phone number, and what you said you needed.
  • If we contacted your business — publicly listed business details (name, category, locality, published phone number) and the WhatsApp conversation, if there was one.
  • If you have been a client — project files, correspondence, and billing records.

There is no customer database behind our website. Enquiries reach us as email, which is why deletion is genuinely deletion rather than a flag on a row.

How to request deletion

Email growthmasala@gmail.com with the subject line Data Deletion Request.

Tell us:

  1. 1.Your name, or your business name
  2. 2.The phone number or email address we would have for you
  3. 3.Whether you want everything deleted, or only certain things

That is genuinely all we need. A single line — *"please delete everything you have for 98xxxxxxxx"* — is a valid request and we will act on it.

You can also send the same request on WhatsApp to +91 86882 69427, or call that number during business hours.

If you reached us through Facebook, Instagram or WhatsApp

The process is identical — email us as above and mention which platform you contacted us on, so we can find the conversation.

Deleting your data with us does not delete anything held by Meta. To remove information held by Facebook, Instagram or WhatsApp themselves, use the privacy settings inside those apps or contact Meta directly.

What happens next

  1. 1.We acknowledge your request, usually within two working days.
  2. 2.We may ask one question to confirm you are who you say you are — normally just confirming the phone number or email we hold. This is to stop somebody else deleting your records.
  3. 3.We delete what we can and tell you what was removed.

The whole process is complete within 30 days, and usually much sooner.

What we delete

  • Enquiry emails and their contents
  • Chatbot lead details
  • WhatsApp conversation history held by us
  • Your contact details from our working records

What we have to keep, and why

Two things survive a deletion request. Both are worth explaining rather than hiding in a clause.

Your number on our do-not-contact list. If you asked us to stop messaging you, we have to remember that. Erasing the record of your opt-out is precisely what would cause our system to treat you as a new lead and contact you again. So we keep the number, and nothing else with it, purely to check against before anything is sent. It is never used for marketing and never shared.

Billing and tax records, if you have been a client. Indian tax and accounting law requires invoices and payment records to be retained for a set period. We cannot delete these until that period has passed, and we keep only what the law requires.

Everything else goes.

Backups

Deleted data may persist briefly in routine system backups held by our email and hosting providers. These are overwritten on their normal cycle. We do not restore deleted information from a backup.

If you are not satisfied

Reply to us first — most issues are a misunderstanding about what we hold and are sorted out in one message.

If that does not resolve it, you may raise a complaint with the Data Protection Board of India under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
